Passionate about the potential of tech entrepreneurs disrupting legacy industries and solving challenges related to financial inclusion and economic growth in emerging markets; Ali has been an active participant in the MENA startup ecosystem since 2012.
He has built a strong network across the startup landscape providing mentorship, supporting founders with raising capital, investor readiness/documentation and solving growth/operational challenges. This has built access to a steady pipeline of deal flow and active engagements with stakeholders/regulators in the market.
Additionally, Ali has led cross-functional teams, startups and businesses across a number of industries in Pakistan and the region including healthcare, financial services, insurance, education, technology, IoT, food and more. In his last role Ali was leading strategic partnerships and deal flow for the Microsoft for Startups Program across MENATP.
Currently – he serves as in a strategic advisory role at Jaffam Management Consulting and is working on building a venture platform for the region focusing on venture building and startup investments.

Rory Elliot is the co-founder and Creative Director of Holocomms. With over 12 years of experience in hologram communication, Rory has worked with the likes of Michael Jackson, Madonna and Tupac. In the realm of education, he has holographically beamed Stephen Hawking in to Hong Kong, set up the very first hologram communication system with Imperial College London and, is currently working with Oxford University.
